North Sioux City Casey’s Raises Over $6,500 During #HereForGood Campaign

The North Sioux City Casey’s location raised over $6,500 for the #HereForGood hunger campaign leading stores in funds donated. Guests had the opportunity to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar amount of their choosing.

Representatives from Casey’s, Feeding America, and Feeding South Dakota visited the Food Bank of Siouxland to present the check and congratulate the North Sioux City Casey’s team.

“Casey’s is committed to serving our communities and making a positive impact across our 17-state footprint,” said Ena Williams, Chief Operating Officer at Casey’s. “Our team is proud to partner with Feeding America in the fight against hunger, as food insecurity remains a real challenge, and those in need are our neighbors. I’m grateful for our dedicated team members and generous guests, both of whom are making Casey’s donation of 7 million meals to Feeding America-affiliated food banks like the Food Bank of Siouxland a reality.”

Hunger and food availability are a challenge for many of Casey’s hometowns, particularly for those located in rural communities. A food desert is known as an area in which healthy and nutritious food is not easily accessible.

“Our vision for an end to hunger in America requires partnership with like-minded organizations like Casey's," said Lauren Biedron, Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships at Feeding America. "Food banks across the country have reported increased pressure from the growing number of people experiencing food insecurity. We are thankful for the #HereForGood campaign for continuing to help people access the food and resources they need to thrive. We are especially grateful for the North Sioux City Casey's for leading the pack on that effort."

Partnering with Feeding America, the nearly 2,500 Casey’s locations that span across 17 states participated in the #HereForGood campaign, bringing in $723,000 for food banks across their service areas.
