Girls Inc. is a non-profit organization providing after-school programming and summer
care for school-aged girls of Woodbury County, Dakota County, and Union County. They
provide educational programs for girls in the Siouxland area to promote independent women in the community and create a safe place for children to go while their parents are at work.
Programming and hours vary by season. In the summer they offer programming from
7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and during school they provide programming from after school until 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. As a non-profit organization they do their best to provide low-cost services to the community members they serve all while providing high-quality programming.
Girls Inc. does not have a pantry that is open to the public, but they partner with the
Food Bank of Siouxland to provide meals for the girls in their program that might otherwise go hungry. They serve a diverse population of girls in Sioux City. During the summer they provide breakfast, lunch, and a snack. When school is in session they provide an afterschool snack for students while occasionally putting together a weekend meal kit for those in need. The Food Bank of Siouxland is proud to partner with an outstanding organization and assist their cause inany way possible. Thank you Girls Inc. for everything you do for the Siouxland community.
